Executive Team

Deirdre Mahlan

President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairperson

Ms. Mahlan has served as our President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairperson since September 2023. From November 2015 to June 2020, Ms. Mahlan served as President of Diageo North America, Inc., a multinational beverage company, where she oversaw Diageo’s US and Canadian spirits and beer businesses. From October 2010 to October 2015, she served as Chief Financial Officer of Diageo plc, prior to which she served as the company’s Deputy CFO and Head of Tax and Treasury. Ms. Mahlan began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where she conducted audits across several diversified global companies. She served as a director of Experian plc, a credit reporting company, from September 2012 to July 2022. In September 2021, she joined the board of the Kimberly-Clark Corporation, a consumer goods company, where she is a member of its audit committee. In July 2022, she joined the Board of Haleon plc, a healthcare goods company, where she is chair of the audit and risk committee and a member of the nominations and corporate governance committee and the remuneration committee. Ms. Mahlan is a certified public accountant and received her MBA with a concentration in finance and international business from Columbia University and her BS in accounting from New York University. We believe Ms. Mahlan’s financial expertise as a CFO and as a director of various companies qualifies her to serve on our Board.

Jennifer Fall Jung

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer Fall Jung has served as our Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer since June 2023 and leads the finance & accounting, financial planning & analysis, corporate controller, and IT teams. From 2019 to 2023, Ms. Fall Jung served as Chief Financial Officer of Funko, Inc., a consumer goods company focused on licensed collectibles, accessories and apparel. Prior to that role, Ms. Fall Jung held a variety of roles at The Gap Inc., including Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance and Investor Relations from January 2017 to March 2018 and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Head of International of Global Old Navy, a division of The Gap, from November 2012 to January 2017. Ms. Fall Jung has more than two decades of corporate finance and investor-focused public company experience. Ms. Fall Jung earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Diego State University.

Zachary Rasmuson

Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer

Zach Rasmuson has served as our Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer since 2012, after serving as the winemaker and general manager for Goldeneye since joining the Company in 2003. Under his stewardship, Goldeneye was one of the first wineries to earn the Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing distinction. Zach also spearheaded the building of Goldeneye’s state-of-the-art winemaking facility, which was only the second winery in California to achieve LEED Gold certification. Previously, Mr. Rasmuson worked for wineries such as Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Robert Sinskey Vineyards and Husch Vineyards. Mr. Rasmuson received his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s College.

Nicole Cummings

Chief People Officer

Nicole Cummings has served as our Chief People Officer since 2024 and leads her team in fostering a culture of creative autonomy that empowers employees to thrive. Since joining the company in 2022, she has built the foundation of the People team with her strengths in coaching, team building, leadership, and training while overseeing compensation and benefits, organizational development, talent acquisition, onboarding, talent development, employee relations, and strategic planning. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from California State University, Chico, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska and has a quarter-century of HR leadership experience from roles at EAH Housing, Cakebread Cellars, Brecek and Young Advisors and Securities America.

Pete Przybylinski

Executive Vice President, Chief Sales Officer

Pete Przybylinski has served as our Executive Vice President, Chief Sales Officer since July of 2010. Mr. Przybylinski leads our in-house wholesale sales team of over 80 employees and focuses his efforts on team leadership, distributor management and executive-level strategy development. Since joining Duckhorn in 1995, he held a number of sales roles of increasing responsibility in the organization including being named director of sales in 2000 and being promoted to vice president of sales the following year. Mr. Przybylinski holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business.

Sean Sullivan

Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy and Legal Officer

Sean Sullivan has served as our Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy and Legal Officer since February 2019, after having advised the Company as outside counsel from 2007 to 2016. From 2012 to 2019, Mr. Sullivan was an attorney at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, advising consumer products, life sciences and technology companies on initial public offerings and other securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and public company SEC filings. Mr. Sullivan received a JD from Columbia Law School and Bachelor of Arts degrees in economics and politics from St. Mary’s College of California.
